Botox (Botulotoxin)

Botox, so called botulinum toxin is a neurotoxin protein, which is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Botox is one of the most poisonous substances in the world (naturally occuring). Botox is usually used to treat painful muscle spasms, migraine headaches, pediatric incontinence or as a cosmetic treatment. In cosmetics, it is used to eliminate gathers and other face lines. The amount of botox, used in cosmetics is 1000 times less than the toxic dose. The effect is reversible, it is not for ever, but as more you use it, as longer it lasts (from 3 months to one year).
